Carta hacia el Cuarto Tribunal Colegiado en materia Administrativa del Primer Circuito

Hoy más que nunca, la búsqueda de una alimentación sana, sin agroquímicos, sin transgénicos, así como la protección a nuestros maíces nativos y la reafirmación del derecho a la alimentación adecuada, consagrado en nuestra Constitución y en la recientemente aprobada Ley General de Alimentación Adecuada y Sostenible, se torna apremiante para nuestro país.

Native Prairie Grass Returns to Houston Area After Decades of Urban Development

The wildlife ecologist and botanist, along with his colleague Calan Coleman, are managers for Nash Prairie, a 427-acre coastal prairie about 70 miles southwest of Houston owned by the Nature Conservancy of Texas. The major part of their job is keeping the prairie as diverse and thriving as possible – which means removing invasive species, keeping the woody plants and trees at bay and burning it all down in a prescribed fire when needed.

Group Organic Certification

I am part of the generation of organic farmers who developed the first organic standards and certification systems in the 1970s and 80s to ensure the integrity of organic agriculture and stop false claims when people were selling their produce as organic. We did this to protect both farmers and consumers.
The worst thing that happened to the organic sector was when governments started regulating it. At the time, we believed that government regulation would protect the sector and stop fraudulent claims and substitutions, so we strongly advocated for it.

Through techniques such as crop rotation, cover cropping, and holistic land management, regenerative agriculture seeks to regenerate, rather than merely sustain, natural systems.

Agave para el Futuro: El Rol del CIATEJ en el Billion Agave Project

El día 8 de mayo en la subsede Zapopan del CIATEJ se llevó a cabo la firma de un acuerdo de colaboración entre el CIATEJ y Regeneration International, con el fin de trabajar en conjunto en el Billion Agave Project, una estrategia innovadora de regeneración de ecosistemas y busca una producción y transformación sostenible del agave. El acuerdo fue firmada por la Dra. Eugenia del Carmen Lugo Cervantes, directora general del CIATEJ y Luis Arturo Carrillo Sánchez Coordinador Internacional de Billion Agave Project.
