SUMMARY:Webinar - Agricultura y Ecosistemas Acuáticos. Laguna La Brava Modelo de Estudio en la Región Pampeana
DESCRIPTION:En la región pampeana de Argentina se desarrolla el proceso denominado agriculturización\, que refiere al uso continuo y creciente de las tierras para cultivos agrícolas en lugar de usos ganaderos o mixtos. Además\, este proceso conlleva cambios tecnológicos y monocultivos (principalmente soja o la combinación trigo-soja). Esta es una de las regiones agrícolas más productivas del mundo\, pero la aplicación de agroquímicos\, y el aporte de nutrientes de los agroecosistemas constituyen las principales amenazas para los ecosistemas acuáticos circundantes.\nLa ecotoxicología es una disciplina que estudia efectos adversos de contaminantes en organismos no- blanco. Estos efectos a nivel sub- organismo (bioquímicos\, fisiológicos\, genéticos\, etc.) pueden ser cuantificados\, y aplicados al biomonitoreo de la contaminación.\nLa Laguna La Brava\, situada en la región Pampa Sur de Argentina\, ha sido declarada Paisaje Protegido en 2018 por el gobierno provincial\, pero al estar rodeada de actividad agrícola está contaminada por plaguicidas de uso actual. Allí hemos detectado que la mezcla del herbicida glifosato y su metabolito AMPA\, y los insecticidas clorpirifos e imidacloprid en el agua superficial se correlaciona con efectos tales como el estrés oxidativo en peces y macrófitas de la laguna. Dado que las lagunas pampásicas en general están impactadas por estos contaminantes es urgente la implementación de programas de monitoreo provinciales\, así como la vigencia de niveles guía nacionales.

DESCRIPTION:Aunque poco conocidos\, los hongos son esenciales en el ecosistema\, y están involucrados en infinidad de procesos de nuestra cotidianidad. En conjunto con las bacterias\, los hongos hacen posible los primeros procesos de descomposición de la materia orgánica\, y son responsables de relaciones simbióticas que permiten la movilización de nutrientes en el suelo\, a los cuales muchas plantas no pueden acceder por sí solas. Todas sus funciones las realizan\, de manera increíble\, a través de la estructura funcional de los hongos llamada micelio: el extenso entramado con apenas una célula de grosor que se comunica\, interactúa\, reacciona y hace posibles procesos naturales a través de esta delicada\, sin embargo poderosa red interdependiente. \nDe las mas de 140 mil especies descritas en la actualidad\, se registran unas 7mil especies comestibles\, que son proveedores de nutrientes y compuestos benéficos. Especialmente\, los hongos que crecen en medios naturales saludables como madera en descomposición\, o en simbiosis con raíces de los árboles\, concentran los nutrientes presentes en su sustrato\, y proporcionan proteína\, vitaminas y principios activos medicinales que el micelio sintetiza. \nYa sea a través de las prácticas de recolección de hongos de temporal o por medio de metodologías de cultivo\, el humano ha integrado a los hongos a su dieta\, medicina y cosmogonía desde tiempos ancestrales. En este curso\, aprenderemos dos importantes técnicas de cultivo: siembra de hongos en tronco y siembra de hongos en sustratos preparados. Ambas técnicas tienen sus ventajas y se adecuan a diferentes contextos.

Lettuce growers depend heavily on OMRI certified chemicals to spray against the pathogen that causes the disease. However\, other technologies may be potentially helpful to nip the disease early in the production system. However\, we don’t know whether these technologies such as UV rays affect plant growth\, and most importantly\, nutrient quality\, compared to those sprayed with chemicals. \nJoin the speakers: Arash Ghalehgolabbehbahani\, Gladis Zinati\, and Madhav Dhakal to learn about the latest results of this research\, conducted at the Rodale Institute Pocono Organic Center in Pennsylvania.

DESCRIPTION:“Sanar la tierra y sanar el espíritu humano son el mismo proceso” dijo Masanobu Fukuoka\, padre de la agricultura natural y uno de los principales inspiradores de la Permacultura. Sanar el suelo significa frenar y revertir los procesos de su degradación\, como la erosión\, el agotamiento mineral\, la pérdida de materia orgánica y la reducción de la densidad y diversidad de organismos que lo habitan. \nAunque es cierto que la naturaleza tiene la capacidad de sanarse a sí misma\, sus tiempos son distintos al tiempo humano\, pero conociendo los principios de formación del suelo e integrando tecnologías ancestrales y modernas podemos acelerar la regeneración del suelo para revertir\, en cuestión de meses\, el daño que el manejo agrícola ha hecho por años. \nEn este curso revisaremos los principios fundamentales de la agroecología y de la agricultura regenerativa\, y aprenderemos haciendo un conjunto de técnicas y prácticas para acelerar de manera exponencial la formación de los suelos\, aprovechando la tecnología actual\, pero recuperando aquellas tecnologías ancestrales que permiten el mantenimiento de la salud y la fertilidad de los suelos agrícolas. Con ello aprenderemos a resolver “de raíz” problemas en la producción\, como bajos rendimientos\, mala calidad de frutas y hortalizas\, plagas y enfermedades. Aprenderás por qué los árboles ya no producen\, porqué se pudre la fruta\, porqué se “plagan” tus cultivos. Además conoceremos el origen de las enfermedades desde el suelo hasta el ser humano\, y algunas técnicas para resolverlas. Obtendrás conocimientos prácticos para ayudar a sanarte a ti\, a tu tierra\, y al planeta\, al mismo tiempo que aumentas la producción de tus cultivos y mejoras la rentabilidad de tu proyecto. \nEn este curso hacemos equipo Las Cañadas y Suelos Sanos. \nImportante: Este no es un curso introductorio y se espera que los participantes tengan conocimientos de agroecología\, abonos orgánicos\, etc. Si buscas algo introductorio\, te recomendamos nuestro curso de «Agroecología y cultivo biointensivo».

Vivirás durante veinte días en una pequeña aldea junto al río\, trabajarás\, aprenderás y convivirás junto con los socios- trabajadores de la cooperativa. \nEl número de aprendices es entre 6 y 10 personas como máximo.
