Lukas Ross ranks our losing Rangers after a dissapointing defeat at the hands of low lying Barnsley…
After a massively underwhelming performance, Rangers were second best against the basement club once again.
FULL TIME: QPR 0-1 Barnsley
PLAYER RATINGS:
Liam Kelly = 6.5/10 = Not much he could do about the goal, but had a fairly decent game, ok distribution, hands were secure,
Angel Rangel = 6/10 = You can’t fault the guy’s passion, but he had a tough time against the Barnsley attackers. Coped ok, though.
Conor Masterson = 5/10 = Was, in my opinion, at fault for the first goal. Was ok aside from that.
Yoann Barbet = 5.5/10 = Nearly scored a stunning free kick, but he was caught out by the tricky Barnsley attackers.
Ryan Manning = 2/10 = One of the worst performances that I have seen Ryan Manning produce in a QPR shirt. Was not up to it and sloppily gave the ball away a few too many times.
Luke Amos = 3.5/10 = Was a bit disappointing in the first half before being subbed off at half time.
Dom Ball = 5/10 = Looked a shadow of his former self before the season was suspended. So underwhelming.
Bright Osayi-Samuel = 6.5/10 = Flashes of brilliance, hold up play well, but he was kept quiet by the full backs.
Ebere Eze = 7/10 = Had flashes of brilliance every now and then but was, like Bright, kept quiet by the full backs.
Jordan Hugill = 4.5/10 = Poor hair, poor performance. Nothing more to say really.
SUBS:
Lee Wallace (for Ball) = 5/10 = Played very similarly to Jordan Hugill today.
Olamide Shodipo (for Amos) = 5/10 = Was kept quiet by the Barnsley defence.
Todd Kane (for Rangel) = 4.5/10 = Was a bit underwhelming.
CONCLUSION:
Our fans hyped us up to the extreme on social media, but we were massively disappointing. A gargantuan response is required next Saturday if we do not want to slip into mid table obscurity. Come on you R’s, this was only one game!
