QPR 0-1 CHARLTON: Player Ratings

QPR fall to another miserable defeat against low lying Charlton. Lukas Ross gives us his player ratings.

Another 1-0 loss against a team in the closed off, esoteric unit that is the bottom 7. We were undone by the lower league journeyman that is Darren Pratley. I watched the entire game (somehow) and here are my player ratings:

Liam KELLY: 7/10: Probably our best player out there, should’ve saved the goal but some decent saves and some good distribution.

Angel RANGEL: 6/10: Improved on last week’s performance but he is a little past it. Can’t fault his passion though. Was subbed for Todd Kane after 71 minutes.

Conor MASTERSON: 5.5/10: Looked solid for most of the game.

Yoann BARBET: 5/10: Not really captain fantastic was at fault for the goal but he looked alright throughout.

Ryan MANNING: 6/10: Stepped up last Saturday’s performance with a solid showing but it was just not enough.

Geoff CAMERON: Worked very hard in the middle of the park and was subbed off for Luke Amos after 71 minutes.

Dominic BALL: 5.5/10: Looked relatively quiet, had a mediocre game and was subbed after 77 minutes for Faysal Bettache.

Bright OSAYI-SAMUEL: 4.5/10: Failed to electrify the wing, mostly because he was kept quiet by the full back and was substituted for Aramide Oted after 71 minutes.

Eberechi EZE: 6.5/10: Burst forward on several occasions but was kept quiet by the Charlton defence.

Ilias CHAIR: 7/10: Caused the Charlton defence problems before being subbed off on the hour mark.

Jordan HUGILL: 1.5/10: Once again looked very off the pace and unfit and should’ve buried a chance just after the restart.

SUBS:
Olamide SHODIPO (for Chair): 6.5/10: Looked good going down the wing. Deserves a better chance.

Aramide OTEH (for Osayi-Samuel): 5/10: Was extremely quiet and did not really get a sniff of ball possession in the 19 minutes he was on the pitch.

Luke AMOS (for Cameron) 5.5/10: Was very quiet but was an improvement on last week’s monstrosity.

Todd KANE (for Rangel) 0.5/10: All but 2 of his attempted passes surrendered possession and he looked cataclysmic today. Absolutely sh*t. No player should ever play like that again. Rangel over Kane every day of the year.

Faysal BETTACHE (for Ball) 7.5/10: Held up play well, moved with the ball well and put some dangerous balls in. Very good performance, deserves another chance.

CONCLUSION: We are so wildly inconsistent. I actually would not be surprised if we beat Fulh*m on Tuesday, given how inconsistent we are.

QPR are back in action on Tuesday night against Fulham at the KPFS.
